We have a larger cat tree king tree in our living room and were so pleased with the quality we decided to get this smaller tree for our guest room- we have 5 cats and they love these cat trees- were climbing on it as we assembled - which was very easy to do. Highly recommend!
i am really pleased with the high quality construction of this cat tree. definitely a “get what you pay for” product. my cats have destroyed other cat trees and love running and launching themselves at our last floor-to-ceiling tree. i was always worried about how the tree would shift, so i’m definitely happy with how wide and heavy this tree is—it’s definitely not going anywhere!
when you think about replacing cheap cat trees regularly, you’re really not saving any money. i think it’s a better value to just buy such a nice quality cat tree, and i can see myself getting more furniture in the future. worth every penny and my cats love it.
No instructions necessary, not for the assembly (very easy), nor for the use (cats took to it right away). We have always fostered and own cats as well. This is the best quality cat tree product we ever had. Seriously! It is our second one and it is well made and sturdy. It lasts a long time even with heavy use.
Finally, a sisal post that is long and thick enough for a full body stretch and scratch. 😻
YAY!!! This is a long review BUT it will tell you everything you need to know.
Fennel was a stray that turned up a year ago. He was 11 lbs of skin & bones. He is now a healthy 15lbs, 1 meter long & 14" from his shoulder to the ground. I work from home & he sleeps on a cat tree next to me. So, when he stretched out & fell off onto his back the other day we were both very freaked out. After that, every time he moved, I would jump & try to make sure he didn't fall off again.
Of course, I immediately started looking for a bigger cat tree... No luck! Most companies’ idea of a "big" cat tree are the size of the one he fell off of which was 15"x15" on top.
I searched the internet for HUGE cat trees and had no luck until I stumbled over a reddit page that had Maine Coon owners on it. That is how I got to Cat Tree King. I figured if a Maine Coon could fit on them; so could Fennel.
They looked like they were Huge. But I was still worried about the size. It is so hard to tell in pictures. They are usually shown with kittens or random cats on them. Who knows how big those cats are? BUT Y'all show them with human models standing next to them AND you tell us in the description how tall the models are! (Brilliant!!)
The one I picked (Queensplace XXL Blackline Light Grey) had one of the models actually SITTING on it. I was thrilled! If she could sit on it without it falling over, then it was good sized and stable; another concern since it has to fit next to my desk, but not fall over when he jumps on it.
I learned that y'all will sell me spare parts. Yet another concern. How many of us have spent a LOT of money buying cat furniture that didn't last very long? They shred parts of it by sharpening their claws on it (as we all want them to since it saves OUR people furniture!) BUT when it is just one side, we throw away the whole thing & try & find another one. No more!! Now I can just replace the part that is shredded. WOW!!
The grey on the base & top is a very plush fleecy velvety fabric. It is a soft lt bluish grey & the post is black sisal & the rope is lt ivory and about 6” in circumference (around).
(NOTE: The charcoal grey bed he is sleeping on in the picture does NOT come with it and is NOT part of the cat-tree, it is one of the random beds we have all over the house so he had something that smells like him to help him get used to it).
To top it all off... it was on sale!!! Wahoo!!
This has a weighted bottom. I have no idea how they do it, but I had to take it out of the box on the porch & bring it in in pieces… one at a time. The whole thing is heavy BUT the base is crazy dense & weighty.
You need to do some very basic assembly. I had it together in about 15 minutes. It is SUPER easy if you can use an allen wrench (supplied) and follow pictograms BUT make sure you have someone to help if you are not very strong or co-ordinated. To attach the bottom to the middle post you will need to balance the VERY heavy base on the post & fasten the bolts into it. So, get help if this sounds tricky or ya may end up with a broken foot.
The directions are easy to follow pictures & they give ya a few extra parts, just in case.
AND it came super-fast! I had it within a week.
Of course, (like with all new cat furniture) it took him a couple of days to start using it. Now we are both happy! He doesn't have to worry about hurting himself by falling off when he is asleep. And I don't have to jump & try & save him while I am trying to work!! I am so grateful y'all make these! Thank you sooo much!!!
I will try & upload some pictures if the site will let me. These are worth every penny!!
The quality of both the towers that we purchased exceeded even my expectations. They are not just “big”, they look and feel massive and meant to last. The cats, especially our male stray, immediately began to explore and and upon his approval began to transfer his scent to these additions to his domain.
The females, all of which are feral, not unexpectedly would take a bit more time but to our delight in another day or two had found and claimed the super soft and warm cubbies as well as the view from the highest platform.
I should mention that the staff replied immediately and generously to my request to use a discount code that I neglected to apply on the original order.
I can promise you that should you decide to order from Cat Tree Kingdom you will be extremely satisfied!
